Adopting “e-Sushrut”, C-DAC’s Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) is a major step of DGME–UP towards adapting technology to improve healthcare for the citizen of Uttar Pradesh. Its main objective is to provide healthcare services to the patients by leveraging computing technology at low cost in the health sector. This solution will digitize the clinical and back office workflows of registration, emergency, OPD, ADT, Laboratory Investigation System, Pharmacy, Medical records departments of the health facilities in UP. A data warehouse of such records can be utilized for statistical requirements and for research for the state of UP. HMIS application will streamline the treatment flow of patients and simultaneously empower the health facilities to perform to their peak ability, in an optimized and efficient manner.
